Hello, medical school. And thus, begins my journey. Monday, August 20, 2012. Time for Round 2. All summer I wanted to come back to the island and get back into it. Now that I'm finally here and classes will be starting in full swing tomorrow, I'm nervous. I want a few more extra days off! It's scary enough starting med school, but then to add in the factor of repeating a year - there's even more terrifying. Oh well, here's to August 2012! Sunday, August 19, 2012. Yeah the food is a little pricier than the states, but not really THAT. But the BIGGEST most cost saver for living on the island - no retail therapy! Okay back to studying. After a very short vacation (aren’t all vacations “too short”? My USMLE Step 1 prep has begun - -. I’ve opted to take the 7 week live lecture course from Kaplan here in the US. All the exam results are finally in and I passed all my classes! That officially ends Basic Sciences and I can finally return to the USA for good! Leaving the island is exciting yet scary as there are a lot of big changes to come. But I finally made it! And I never deceled (which is a total miracle). May 24, 2012 at 18:23.
