Safety is an important part of what makes this a fun and successful event. Lifeguards, motor boats, paddleboards, and kayaks are located all along the course perimeter. Water temperatures will be 55-60 degrees. Requests for wetsuit exceptions must be sent to the race director. Swimmers must wear swim caps provided and attend the pre-race meeting. A copy of our safety plan can be retrieved below as well as the wetsuit exception request form. Non-wetsuit Waiver Form (PDF).
