This Kangkung Beef dish I am sharing today however is something that is very commonly found not only in Sri Lanka, but also in many Malay and Chinese stalls in Singapore. Malay’s make a spicier version with a sambal balachan and the Chinese with a milder oyster sauce base and is a sure-order dish whenever we dine out. Served with a bowl of white jasmine rice, it is a meal on its own! One bunch of Kangkung. 3 cloves of Sliced garlic.

One of the things I love and miss the most about Sri Lankan cuisine is its myriad of utterly delicious short eats – better known as finger food or snacks elsewhere in the world. Most of these snacks are crispy, crunchy and golden (aka deep fried) and are so addictive. Out of the whole lot, cutlets. Have got to be one of my all time favourite – closely followed by Chinese rolls. 200g of minced beef. 3 cups of flour.

These were really popular at the markets. It look so yummy. Textured paint, I used a creamy sort of clay for some of the topping, which can go through a cake decorating tip like the real cream.
