Up in a Tree. A Bird's Eye View. Thursday, May 8, 2008. Nelson is my boyfriend's kitten. He is 6 months old and I have taken quite a liking to him. Normally I wouldn't say that I'm much of a cat person, I'd prefer to interact with a dog, but cats are a little easier to manage and require a little less attention (However, Nelson is spoiled and gets tons of attention! So a cat was the better pet for my boyfriend to get while living in an apartment! Nelson's addition to the post). Awww, the cat is so cute.

Up in a Tree. A Bird's Eye View. Thursday, April 3, 2008. To say goodbye to my tiny one-bedroom apartment in Clear Lake. I will soon be moving back to Ames to begin my Master's program! It may have been small with really tacky wallpaper, but it served it's purpose! I will also say goodbye to living alone.I will be moving into a 3-bedroom apartment with two other girls. Up in a Tree. A Bird's Eye View. Monday, January 14, 2008. On a cold winter day. What is more uplifting with promises of spring than butterflies? Also a wonderful new relationship! A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I went on a photography date to Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University. We had a great time taking over 1000 photos and then sharing and discussing the amazing images that we captured! Here a few of our favorites! The stuff in the bathroom I found on Clearance at Target last fall! I went to 5 different stores to get the items that I got, but I just love the little owl! The living room has a bunch of items! I may be done surveying birds, but I will never cease to enjoy their presence in my life! Adventures of an American teaching assistant in France. 5 June, 2012. 14 – Eat at a French McDonalds. Accomplished! My last week in France, I finally made it to a McDonalds! We stopped in at the McDonalds at Versailles on our way back to Compiègne. The first difference I noticed from an American McDonalds was that there is a separate counter for the McCafe, where the French can buy a variety of high quality coffee/espresso, pastries, and even…. And speaking of assimilating, I decided to try a McBaguette!

Sunday, 1 September 2013. 2nd Road Trip - Part 1. After a year of hard work, we've completed our Masters and so to reward ourselves and before returning to Singapore to work our butts off, we went for our 2nd road trip to Melbourne :). Left the house early in the morning at about 7.45am cos it was quite a long drive, about 6 hours to our night's stay at Albury. Weather was quite alright and we were lucky enough to spot a double rainbow which looks really faint in pics :). Had breakfast at Trappers Bakery.

September 30, 2015. My big kid had a couple of her friends stay over last night and this morning whilst waiting for their mums to pick them up we decided to make Faerie Wands. Perfect for Spring, we made these wands with minimal materials – a quick and easy craft. They then spent a cheerful morning running through the garden waving wands and performing faerie spells.
