Squeezin' in some Spring Camping! We've had so much rain this Spring that we haven't had many chances to go camping. It get too hot and humid to do much camping in the summer, so we squeezed in a couple camping trips with our camping buddies, the Putnams. We went up to Roaring River in Missouri for a quick over night. There was a great hike overlooking the hatchery. We hiked it just at dusk. It was beautiful! And playing in the lake. Super fun! September was a busy month! We had a lot of big things happen in our family this month! We went camping for Labor Day (first time this year. thanks to crazy weather.)Fab weather, lots of kite flying and a really big bon fire (or a 20 ft explosion, call it what you want! This year we decided to make gingerbread houses. I started thinking about hosting a Gingerbread House Party, but decided that starting simple this year would be a better idea. We had a blast! The girls and I made a fun little village and we've enjoyed them all season long. This has been out centerpiece for the month. I think our dwarf Amaryllis is a real addition to the village. (Not sure why it's so short, too much direct sun, I think.). Each of the girls took care to make their house look just right.
