Thursday, March 17, 2011. On Friends and Depression. A very unsettling couple of days. One of my friends, who is also my mentor, is in the final stages of pancreatic cancer. It seemed that her kidneys were failing last night and that she might pass away, but she has rallied. Tomorrow, if all goes well, she will be moved from the hospital to hospice care. It's so hard to see that as "if all goes well." How can end of life care be considered "well"? There is was, listed as an early symptom of MS, along.

Life ain't always what you think it ought to be. January 29, 2013. The odds weren’t in my favor during the 2 nights I was out celebrating Dinagyang. I was not able to totally enjoy. But last Sunday, I convinced myself to walk in the streets of Iloilo to join the fun and feel the spirit of Dinagyang. And so I did. Here are some pictures. And finally, the sun was down and we couldn’t miss to take a picture with the newly renovated building at Plaza Libertad. It was so nice and romantic! January 19, 2013.
