It is with great sadness that I report The clubs Secretary and Treasurer Derek Llyons passed away this last week, he'd taken ill after having been on holiday earlier in the month. The clubs deepest condolences go out to his friends and most of all to his family. The funeral service will be held on 19th March at 1:30PM at Shields Crematorium, everyone is welcome, there will be a drink afterwards at the Grey Horse in Whitburn. Posted by Paul Hutchinson.

Boat Competition May 17th 2014. 1st Boat Competition of the new season, good weather all round, hot, dry, no wind and quite a big tide to deal with but you can't have it all ways. Fair turnout for the start of season with the boats 'Know Name', 'Renown', 'Santiago 2'. Leaving the bents to be met by 'Miranda III'. As the day went on most pretty much everyone hit into fish at some point, nothing huge but at least something was showing. Paul Cook of 'Miranda III'. Here there be Monsters.

Finally after years of doing without trophies or proper awards which were by and large lost during the fire in the clubhouse a number of years ago, quite rightly we have started to get things in order again. A number of trophies have been recovered or donated to get things going again.
