From Bombers, Bakers, Blue Peter and onto gourmet Burgers! The company started in 1942 by an ex RAF pilot in Cheltenham called Leonard Stace, he developed rubber coated cloth to make self seal and bullet proof linings for aircraft fuel tanks, and supplied them to the government during the war. The business moved to its current location in The Vineyards in 1952 around the time silicones were being introduced for release purposes and Leonard started making coated vegetable parchments for bakery tray liners.
