Pursuing the Preschool Years. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The Piggy Flu Has Come For A Visit! Both Little Man and Shad were diagnosed with the flu.Type A.probably H1N1. We'd have to send it down to the CDC to be confirmed. That would cost $300 and insurance won't cover it, so we're left assuming it's H1N1. Oink Oink! Shad's on Day 2. Little Man's on Day 1. I'm praying that I'm not next! Both started on Tamiflu this evening. Hopefully, it'll get them feeling better soon! Shad was actually at the doctor'...

If you’re gonna scream, scream with me…. This is me March 17, 2011. 8212; screamwithme @ 5:26 am. This is me now. Instead of speed walking through the city and ignoring the catcalls on the streets, I am walking the sidewalks of suburban New Hyde Park and people can’t help but smile at these two cuties. When did this happen to me? How did it become my new life? No seriously, tell me. 2 Responses to “This is me”. March 18, 2011 at 1:49 am. What a beautiful family you have, Karen! Pursuing the Preschool Years. Friday, May 28, 2010. First Skinned Knees EVER! Little Man got his first skinned knees and elbow EVER in his 4 years of life! Amazing, I know. It sure was traumatic for him, though. He hobbled around all afternoon like a little old man! I was trying my hardest not to laugh, but it was nearly impossible. He was just down-right pitiful! Hopefully, he'll be healed enough to play! I'll try to remember to post pics of his big boo boos after I take some. Links to this post.

I'm the Mama!: Quotes

Pursuing the Preschool Years. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Little Man is doing very well in Kindergarten and having lots of fun! Here are a couple of quotes from him recently:. While waiting for me to pick him up after school one day, one of the Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. J (not his), told him "hi" and that she hoped he had a good day. He responded with, "Thanks! I hope you had a good day of teaching! She said it was like talking to a little man! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where in the World?

Pursuing the Preschool Years. Monday, May 03, 2010. The Great Nashville Flood of 2010. Yes, that's right. Nashville was FLOODED. The rain first started on Saturday morning and continued off and on HEAVILY for 2 straight days. Pretty much the entire city as well as many surrounding towns are under water. Nashville recorded 13.53 inches (at the Nashville Airport) of rain in 2 days. My town had over 11 inches. One town even had over 17 inches! Those were definitely record breakers! I was in complete AWE!

Pursuing the Preschool Years. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. First Day of Kindergarten. Hubby and I had a good laugh! How many Kindergartners use the word "nocturnal"? After the story, Mrs. B gave each child a baggie with a surprise for their parents (a note from her, a package of tea and a cotton ball) as well as a heart sticker for each parent. We then said our goodbyes and left him there. I'm happy to report that I did NOT shed any tears! Mrs B sure tried to make us, though, by reading that book! I hope an...

I'm the Mama!: In Remembrance
http://namolloht.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-remembrance.html
Pursuing the Preschool Years. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Today is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. At that time, Little Man wasn't even a glimmer in our eyes yet. Hubby and I had only been married for 9 months. On one hand, it seems like a lifetime ago. On the other, I can't believe it's been 10 years ago! I can remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the news; it seems like it *just* happened yesterday! Even the emotions are still as fresh! What a horrible accident! Hubby and I made a trip to...

Pursuing the Preschool Years. Saturday, October 31, 2009. First Trip to the Emergency Room. The first thing we did was try to get him calmed down. Then, we wrapped him in a blanket and took him outside in the cool air. Those two things helped quite a bit, but he still had labored breathing. So, we decided to make a trip to the ER for a breathing treatment of Epinephrine. We got there and were seen right away. He was put in a room where we did a whole bunch of waiting! At least it wasn't the H1N1 virus!
