http://whitefriarsknobblies.blogspot.com/2009/10/jewels-in-crown-of-knobbly-range-sky.html
I am devoting this blog entirely to the Knobbly range of vases created by Whitefriars from the mid 60s to 1980 when the factory closed. I began collecting this wonderful glass about 5 years ago, and although my collection is quite varied, I have mostly been drawn to the Knobbly range. Thursday, 1 October 2009. THE JEWELS IN THE CROWN OF THE KNOBBLY RANGE - SKY BLUE. The photo below is of my complete set of Sky Blue Knobblies. These two small vases are not catalogued in. L - R 9844 / 9845 / 9843 / 9842.

They are commonly found in two sizes - 6.5 inches and 8.25 inches approximately. Detail at the top. Finally, a comp...

WHITEFRIARS GLASS/WANNABEES: May 2010
http://whitefriarsglasswannabees.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 12 May 2010. The Whitefriars Trailed glass myth! Before that famous store Woolworths closed down, it was selling a variety of Art Glass. One of the items was a trailed vase, selling for about £7.99. Here it is! Photos above © David Fletcher. These are seen many times on e-bay - label removed - and described as Whitefriars! I have also seen them with a white trail. BEWARE! Some have sold for a considerable sum - odd really - as they do not resemble the real thing at all! 169; Richard Caethoven.
