The Firths: Liam's Baptism
http://thefirths.blogspot.com/2015/06/liams-baptism.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. Liam was baptized last weekend and we are really proud of him. Liam is such a happy, kind- hearted child full of hugs and "i love you"s. We are thankful for the good choices he makes, for the help he is to his sisters and his family. He has always been able to make friends with anybody and has an inherent sense of goodness. Monday, May 26, 2014. The winner for the 2014 "Outstanding Doctoral Student Award" for the University of Maryland School of Business is . . . What a great way to round-off his Phd! Posted by the firths. Posted by the firths. Friday, May 16, 2014. But when we got to the uninhabited beach the sun was yellow, the air was warm and slightly breezy. The waves were too inviting. Have to drive for hours to deserve. I guess the best things in life are hard to come by. Posted by the firths. Our perfectly squishy, ...

Weight Adventures: Kauai
http://weightadventures.blogspot.com/2015/03/kauai.html
Thursday, March 19, 2015. We went to Kauai this year and loved it. It is less touristy than some of the other islands, more wild and beautiful and was just the bit of paradise that I needed amid the middle of winter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, December 5, 2010. Thanksgiving in the Desert: Oro Valley and back…. The race was the 17th Annual Thanksgiving Cross Country Classic and was located in a park that was near downtown Tucson. Neither of us placed but we weren’t in it to compete, we just wanted to have a little fitness fun. There were so many young children that ran the race and old grandparents who ran it with their families. it was awesome. After the Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge we decided to jump on t...We spent ...

http://weightadventures.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-in-random-order.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. Summer in Random order. Dusky pink sun caused by the smoky air. Humpback whale tail in Ressurection Bay. We also saw some Fin Whales, which are pretty rare and pretty huge. Elizabeth loved the boat ride and is now a Kenai Fjords National Park Junior Ranger. Picture of Elizabeth and I in Portage. Noelle stayed home in Fairbanks while Liz and I did this little adventure. I love this photo of these two happy guys in front of portage glacier. Eagle River Nature center walk.

the green way: Europe in a Week
http://cartergreen.blogspot.com/2011/07/europe-in-week.html
Sunday, July 10, 2011. Europe in a Week. Amsterdam was one of my favorite places. It’s a super clean place and there are tons and tons of bikes. Tamanna and I rented bikes for the day and rode all around downtown Amsterdam. We went to Madame Tussauds wax exhibit, which had a bunch of pop icons and other famous people molded into wax molds. these things looked so real it was sort of weird to look eye to eye with some of them. Weight Adventures: January 2015
http://weightadventures.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 18, 2015. One advantage of living at the top of the world is you can sleep in and still witness a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Picture of the northern lights taken from our front porch. Cool huh? This winter we have had some wonderful Aurora viewing from our house. It is one of the blessings we Alaskans get for putting up with cold nights. Who doesn't love freeing trees of their snowy burden? These girls love it! A snowy path along Creamers Field.

Weight Adventures: Wintertime

Saturday, January 17, 2015. Picture of the northern lights taken from our front porch. Cool huh? This winter we have had some wonderful Aurora viewing from our house. It is one of the blessings we Alaskans get for putting up with cold nights. In winter Fairbanks gets covered with a blanket of ice crystals which adds a shine and shimmer to ordinary things like chain link fences. Who doesn't love freeing trees of their snowy burden? These girls love it! A snowy path along Creamers Field.
