This is what I harvested this morning. That big pile of green hiding the zucchini is more basil than I can shake a stick at. I'm also revving up for some serious canning. Yes, that last statement makes me feel like an old Mormon mom. I'm living the dream, baby. My artist extraordinaire brother Clark helped me with the cake.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I'm not a runner, but I have a rich fantasy where I am one. I've been training to run in the Wasatch Back. This summer. It's a 180-mile team relay that takes place over two days. My participation garnered a confidence-boosting eyebrow raise from my doctor last week. Thanks, doc! Admittedly, training has been a lot more difficult than I imagined, but by darn I'm going to do this thing. I don't attend the church of Oprah, but she has endorsed the Enell Sports Bra. Ah ah ah ah!

It was Jane's birthday and we celebrated by attending a family reunion and bringing an embarrasingly large Costco cake. Jane's favorite thing lately is to play with everyone's ears.
