THE ROUNDHOUSE - PRESENTLY RAILROAD PARK. AFTER THE FIRE IN 1907. Down over the bank from the roundhouse, near the Connecticut river, and across from No Man's Island,. Was a pump house. It was made of brick and the base is still standing. The wooden top has not lasted, however. It appears the original pipe extending out into the river is still there! Between this foundation and the top of the embankment is a footing of very large stone slabs that must have been the back foundation of the roundhouse!
