Residents of Whitevale are calling on the City to help preserve historical homes by creating a heritage haven in the hamlet. The hamlet, which has been designated a Heritage Conservation District, is surrounded by a buffer of Hamlet Heritage Open Space to protect it from encroaching development such as the planned Seaton community. Land over Landings organizes forces against revived Pickering airport.
