Corvus Design Studio: You Better Watch Out
http://corvusdesignstudio.blogspot.com/2010/12/you-better-watch-out.html
Sunday, December 5, 2010. You Better Watch Out. I could have named this one "They're Makin' a List". Prepare yourself for December 6th:. Krampus is the dark companion of St. Nicholas; the pair represents an older traditional European idea of the winter season gift givers rather than the kindly fat man Santa that we’ve come to know. Krampus visits on his special holy day December 6th, so consider yourself warned. A fun Krampus Link:. Posted by Margaret McCullough. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, November 29, 2010. This Little Light of Mine. The space between Thanksgiving and New Years Eve is a cluttered corridor where I stumble around waiting mostly for things to be over; this year I will illuminate the way with 1000 watts of pure gratitude in the form of 1 thankful design per-day for the month of December. Happy Holidays and Great Affection! Posted by Margaret McCullough. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Queen City of the Plains - Denver, Colorado, United States. View my complete profile.

http://corvusdesignstudio.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 7, 2009. I've been forehead high in work for several months, I'm so grateful I can't even see straight. But now it comes to that time of year when I really wish I had the luxury of nothingness. Time to craft with the kids, time to drink with my friends and more than anything laze about looking at the snow fall. Another time perhaps. Here are a few lovely things for the week, a sort of visual apéritif:. This is the first image that's made me want to do a Holiday card myself for the season:.

Monday, May 2, 2011. Bucephalus, War Horse and Imagination. Magic is humanity manifest. An expression of sole funneled though the heart of fallible observant self—this magic is the stuff of art. What strikes you when actively looking is so subjective. The beauty of this creation struck me all the way though. These artists have plucked magic, the magic that lives in the idea of “horse” and drawn it out, emotional engineering:. For the identity mark for Unbridled Books. Posted by Margaret McCullough. Friday, August 21, 2009. Puttin' the self in self-publishing or Why Traditional Publishing is Important. If you’re not that person (like me) then take a deep breath and consider doing more research before you self-publish. Self-publishing questionnaire top 10:. Do you have a printer lined up? If not, do you need the designer to communicate with printers on your behalf? If so, can you provide the printer reps information so they can be contacted regarding the file and production specifications? If you nee...

Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Collected Advice from Grande Dames. I've been lucky to have several Grand Dammes in my life. In times of stress, embarrassment, and sacrifice (of any kind) I tend to turn my face in the direction of their advice like a leaf to sunlight. The extraordinary resilience and diversity of their backgrounds are mind bending. Spend money on the best available of the following items. Never look gauche or ostentatious and go with everything.
