With Love from Ukraine...: Jesus is the Reason
http://jolenesupdates.blogspot.com/2014/12/jesus-is-reason.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Jesus is the Reason. They are going to open, at least they don't know what they will look like. Unless, of course, you are Micah (our nearly four-year-old) who is always with me when I go shopping. Since I was choosing everyone's pajamas while he and Mackenzie (our baby) waited in the shopping cart, I went ahead and let him decide which ones he wanted. Why not? Christmas evening we really will have a houseful, as we are hosting the Golden State Baptist College. I want to wis...

With Love from Ukraine...: December 2013
http://jolenesupdates.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 5, 2013. I came across a video that was uploaded to Facebook two years ago (this week! And just had to share. In this video hubby and I are singing at Simferopol Baptist Church in Ukraine with some of the dearest friends we have on this earth. Oh, how we miss these people, this church, and the Russian language! We are thrilled with what God is allowing us to do in our lives today. However, we have nothing but sweet memories of what God allowed us to do in our yesterday. My bigger kids ...

A Country Mix
http://acountrylady.blogspot.com/2012/02/we-have-started-new-routine-this-last.html
Stories of the Mix family lovin' the country life. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. So now, we spend each morning downstairs. I help Abbey get started, then I play with the other two for a little bit. The whole time I have soft piano music playing on my phone. It really sets a relaxing mood even though we're in an unfinished basement. I have plans for making it prettier. I'll probably show pictures when I get something done. Like her cowGIRL boots? She is insistent that they are not cowBOY boots. Elizabeth is ...

Rachel's Reflections: September 2013
http://winklerfamilyupdate.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 29, 2013. Sunday, September 22, 2013. The week before school started we had a Back to School. Party Since we had been in school all summer and only took a one week summer break, a party was just what the kids needed to get excited about another year. The Smith family drove out to Johvi and joined us as we celebrated the start of a new school year. There were lots of special treats for each student:. Have a great year, smartie pants. Attached to a package of smarties, of course). Besides...

Rachel's Reflections: May 2014
http://winklerfamilyupdate.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 26, 2014. Can I tell you a secret? Missionaries are human, just like you. We face frustrations, trials, disappointments, and discouragement too. Life is not a "bed of roses" just because we have answered God's call to take the gospel to a foreign field. Missionaries also need encouragement! Isn't God just so good - all the time? I'm also thankful for people that let God use them when He speaks to their heart. Another blessing is that this building was full of office furniture - desks, bookshe...

Rachel's Reflections: September 2014
http://winklerfamilyupdate.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2014. Tour our home boys' room. So, lets head in. The wall to the left of the window (behind the bookshelf and closet) is the one that was added. Since there were two windows in this room, it worked out nicely for each room to still have a window once it was divided. I made the curtains from the bedskirt that came with the boys' bedding. I'm a little puzzled why this bedding had a "skirt" with it, but it was nice to have the material for curtains. Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

Rachel's Reflections: June 2014
http://winklerfamilyupdate.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 1, 2014. In 1999 I became a mother. Just 15 months later, Daniel met his new little brother, Andrew. (We also have two more children that I love dearly, but this post is about my oldest boys.) Being a mom was a dream come true! My days were filled with keeping my boys fed, changing diapers, wiping runny noses, kissing chubby cheeks, and all the other tasks that come with being a wife and mommy. Brothers - (November 2000). Krasnoyarsk, Russia (April 2003). Having two teenage boys in the house...

Rachel's Reflections: October 2014
http://winklerfamilyupdate.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Another school year is underway! Each year my kids are good sports as I take their back to school. Our room is bright and cheery. I'm thinking.hoping it will keep our spirits up during the long, dark winter days. I love my big desk that was already in the building when we started renting it. It gives me lots of room to spread out as I score papers and test. Some days it just doesn't matter how pretty the school room is, I have to pull out my survival kit! Scripture and a Song.

Baptist Missionary Women: Contributors
http://baptistmissionarywomen.blogspot.com/p/our-contributers.html
I love photography and scrapbooking. I'm excited to see what the Lord is going to do here, and how He is going to use us. I'm humbled that He chose our family to serve Him here. And my prayer is that my life will be one that pleases Him. God is good.all the time! I also blog at. I'm Carole Shull, missionary wife in Greenland. When I promised my almost-fiancé that I'd follow him to the end of the world, little did I know he'd take me up on it! We home school our children and are working hard on learning t...
