Thursday, August 19, 2010. These are tasty and clean eating friendly! They're also a great way to using up the rest of the watermelon before it goes bad! Cubed Seedless Watermelon (I use 1/2 of a watermelon). 1-2 limes squeezed (or a generous squeeze of the bottled kind). Honey to taste (I use about 1 TBS). Mix in the blender and freeze in popsicle molds! Any leftovers makes a delicious chilled drink! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Year of Slowcooking.

Saturday, April 21, 2012. Man-Date: Bullets and Bombs. Who would you trust with this gun? If you need a shirt to reassure people then.it's kinda like having a "fully licensed" sign on some roadside diner. By the way, thanks for the shirt Christine! Propane tanks show their exit wounds.. The Brothers Three. Not since Laura's wedding. Not as tough as we think. From further away, but you can see everything better. All-in-all it was very responsible, safe fun - no really! Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Thurbosterone Challenge: Edition 4. Austin starts the testosterone challenge by checking his nails. Austin's face belies his true feelings in this picture. He was suffering from GI issues early on that he toughed out to make up for his pre-hike manicure above. I'm a sucker for the ol' reflection shot. Mosquitos were bad at times. Austin and Clint attempted to ward them off by spraying their clothes with bug repellent. Boot print that looked like a running man. Austin and I br...

Sunday, October 09, 2011. Recent happenings and a family photo session. Time to do a catch-up post. In chronicling our recent happenings, I thought I should include the bad with the good, so - yay for stomach flu! This was actually almost two months ago.). The real reason for the visit - Mom's birthday! We celebrated Mexican-style since she had just finished her final Spanish class for her degree. We had a pinata, maracas, Latino music. And a tres leches/Mexican flag/shrine-to-Mom cake! Our friend Sheris...

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie (almost like a brownie). This year for Christmas I made Trevor's favorite pumpkin pie. Actually, I made 2 of them. And I couldn’t resist making this Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie. It's my new favorite pie. I practically ate the whole thing myself (over a few days period). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Thurber Family: December 2011

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. When we arrived in SF we got a public transportation pass that included the buses and trolleys and it was a pretty slick way to get around the city. View of Alcatraz island from the mainland. We tried to capture the steepness of the streets on camera but it was more dramatic (and tiring) in person. We took an elevator up to the top of Coit Tower to see views of the city, like this one. My husband is a little boy. One who is really good at climbing trees. We were about 20 yea...

Thursday, August 30, 2012. Remember when I was pregnant? A journey back in time. Plus, Kate starts kindergarten. On the 4th of July we drove to Taylorsville to see the town fireworks show, which Scott was helping out with in his quest to be a fully certified pyrotechnician. The show was awesome! For a small town, their fireworks were pretty amazing. A Canadian in disguise! The girls were pretty pumped to bring their miniature flags to the 4th of July celebration. Waiting for the fireworks. Forgot to ment...
