Tough times never last, but tough people do! Monday, February 23, 2015. HAPPY 3 YEAR BRAINAVERSARY! I cannot believe its been 3 years already, still feels like a few months ago. People have asked me why I celebrate the brainaversary today when it wasn't even the final surgery, and it was the day of the complication. There are thousands upon thousands of reasons not to smile every second of the day. But as long as you are reading this, you woke up this morning and that is a beautiful reason to smile.

Tough times never last, but tough people do! Sunday, April 28, 2013. I came to Arizona for a craniotomy- and I got gamma knifed. Friday feels like so long ago, but it was only 2 days. We got to the hospital at 5am for check-in. Good thing we aren't getting used to Arizona time, so that was like 8am for us. They took me to pre-op for quick blood work and to start an IV. Tough times never last, but tough people do! Sunday, August 4, 2013. Braink you very much, but I gotta run! Recap: In February 2012 I had my first brain surgery. There was a complication during the surgery and left me unable to walk/balance. I was in intense physical therapy in the hospital for 2 weeks, followed by intense home care therapy for a month until I was stable enough on my walker to graduate to out patient physical therapy. Well, my mom got her wish. Now it's my turn. A few things to note:.
