VandenAkkers in the City! Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Catching up: Pictures of summer. It has been a really long time since I posted anything. So I thought I'd put up some pictures showing some of our adventures over the past few months. Of course, the pictures are all out of order because I'm not used to the new blogger setup. But at least I was able to load more than 5 pictures at a time! Tyson's cemetery sponsored a community event for Memorial Day; Free hot dogs and face painting! Owen and the bones.

Sunday, July 28, 2013. One month of summer down, one more to go! We went camping for Father's Day weekend. It was fun to see how much fun the kids had just sleeping in a tent and going on little hikes. I'm also enjoying how I feel we are growing together as a family-learning how to work and play together. We took a wonderful trip out to New Mexico to visit part of the family. We drove up to Moab for Independence Day weekend and it was so fun to do some Red Rock hiking again. VandenAkkers in the City! Sunday, March 18, 2012. Just wanted to say. I love you Tyson! Earlier this month we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. I just have to say how wonderful my life has been since meeting this amazing man. I really hit the jackpot. He is a hard working, talented, amazing person. Thursday, April 9, 2015. A really nice weekend with Hadley. Hadley had Friday off of school so she requested a mommy-daughter date. I was pleased to oblige. We took a chilly hike together and sat on a bridge and looked at the river and chatted. Then we came home and had a quick scrambled egg snack, and then headed off for storytime. I had such a nice time hanging out with this sweet kid. I'm so glad that what she wanted to do most on her day off was to hike with her mom. April 9, 2015 at 10:24 PM.

Thursday, April 08, 2010. Perhaps it's just my way of approaching things: I'm too thorough for my own good. I need to be more efficient in all aspects of how I accomplish a task. And the computer does take up so much time! Check your email, click on a Facebook notification, look up a recipe, purchase an item, pay bills, upload some photos and delete all the ones the kids took on the sly, etc, etc. Anyway, enough of that. Here's some pics in case I don't get back to this anytime soon! Hazel 5 Days Old.
