HIATUS: broken

http://www.whomovedmytequila.blogspot.com/2006/07/broken.html

Friday, July 21, 2006. Sometimes, your faith gets shattered. Then, you pick up the pieces and piece it together again. A little more fragile it is, this time around. Slowly, it gathers strength, the wounds heal. And then, someone comes and knocks it over again. Posted by GT at 4:55 am. Was surprised to see this post, but as a friends says, reading blogs has seem to given us all an extremely pessimistic view of human condition, so I won't try reading anything into it :D. Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Its Valentine's Day. A time to be with your loved ones, they say. Isn't it ironic then, that this is the day I pick to part with the love of my life. In case you didn't 'get it' and are wondering what the hell I'm mourning for, click on the link above. (Had to add this footnote after one person too many did not 'get it'.). Posted by GT at 6:28 pm. Its 10:55 pm when I'm greeted by a familiar smile at the entrance (the kitchen closes at 11). 20 seconds of confounded silence).

Monday, June 12, 2006. A World Cup Quiz. As the world cup is on, some of us at work are organizing some soccer fun - match screenings, a world cup betting pool and a fooz-ball tournament among other things. The screenings have been pretty successful, though I suspect that it's the free food/beer (and not the soccer action) that draws people downstairs to the cafe where the games are being screened. After all I'd go down for free beer even if they were showing men's lacrosse. A) Never played international...

HIATUS: April 2006

Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Dear Old Blighty, but I'm back! I'm back in the US after six weeks of vacation. Six weeks spent in four countries across three continents. An overwhelmingly common thread runs through the fabric of the four nations I visited. India, Kenya, Tanzania and England. Each continues to be affected (in various wonderful ways) by her own colonial past. Stories from my vacation? The word came to be used, in British India, for several things the British had brought into the country, such as...

Deliberation, Rumination and some Speculation. The Fallen Tomato Cart. June 16, 2007. Posted by mayankjain in Uncategorized. It’s been over a year since I posted anything on the blog. So I thought i’d come back onto the scene with this piece. Where does he go from here? Sometimes they eat some of it. But how much of that stuff can you eat by yourself? So, they just give away some and there is always that one time when they have to simply throw it away. What would happen if the department closed down?

Singaraju D Prasad, the up and coming all-rounder from Gultland, has made a promising start to the US inter-university cricket season. He started with a strong bowling performance last week when he was 'on a hat-trick' and yesterday, on the rainy pitches of Baltimore, he made firmer the case for his inclusion into the USA World Cup squad. It is a beautiful day!

I've never really had a memory. And I've always loved to write. So I thought I'd give it a shot. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Tales from the Road - the World's Cup! Last weekend, we spent a lazy weekend in Khao Lak, a town one hour north of Phuket which is described as what Phuket was 15 years ago. The town definitely lived up to the billing beautiful beaches, laid-back resorts, great Thai Food and no parasails/banana boats spoiling the beautiful horizon. He then started telling me about his Sikh entrepreneur...

Confused: The Blue Jay

http://duhlord.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-blue-jay.html

I've never really had a memory. And I've always loved to write. So I thought I'd give it a shot. Thursday, January 16, 2014. I was standing by a river in Big Sur, listening to the birds chirping in the trees. I had just finished a run, and was catching my breath, when right in front of me, I saw a Blue Jay. And I remembered my grandfather, SRD Guha. Maybe it was the bicyclists I had seen on my run, which reminded me of him being a champion cyclist. But mostly, I was frustrated with myself that my mournin...

I have always had this weird thing about being alone. I just detest it. I never do anything alone - I'm always calling up people trying to get together a group. Figured, I can't be such bad company. Nice day out. Lunch at Farouk's - desi food. Spent the afternoon at the Science Museum of Virginia. Geek in me Liked. Liked. :). Posted by Karthik at 5:29 PM.
