Sunday, 30 September 2012. More Ercol loveliness - how I 'saved' £1419. Do you remember my excitement when I found these Ercol chairs at a jumble sale for £8? Well ever since one of my fave 'passing the time' activities has been searching for a couple more to complete the set. A family of five sharing four chairs was beginning to lose its charm. I considered getting chapel chairs, something modern, or an Ercol bench but nothing fitted the budget. I got them in the end for £140 after much adrenalin&#...

Whoops a daisy: May 2011

http://whoopsadaisy-anna.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, 22 May 2011. Normal service shall be resumed shortly. Apologies for my absence - I didn't get lost in Pembrokeshire. I've been working on a management report to finally complete my CIPD qualification (that I started pre-children! I'm missing in action at the moment, hauled up in the playroom with copious amounts of diet coke and a note on the door saying 'Do not disturb love Mum x'. It's been like that for a while now - I have to find 9000 words and I am struggling with each. Links to this post.

Whoops a daisy: September 2010

http://whoopsadaisy-anna.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, 26 September 2010. Progress on our home, most of the time, moves at a snail's pace. A reluctant snail who is embarrassed to ask for directions. But now and again, some event will spur us into action. The Queen of Clean, sensing my distress, decided to come to the rescue with his paintbrush. This duck egg blue (very Cath K) is now on my kitchen walls. It makes up for the fact I am to have no hot water for 3 days this week. Photo by Marie's Shots. Photo by Joyful Lova. I wouldn't put it past me.

Whoops a daisy: Blackboard messages

http://whoopsadaisy-anna.blogspot.com/2012/09/blackboard-messages.html

Wednesday, 12 September 2012. We have this blackboard by the front door - meant for last minute reminders but rarely used for that purpose. Boring stuff like 'swimming kit' sit on there for months (ignored). I thought I'd update it with a little bit of positivity for my gang before they leave the house.with this Oscar Wilde quote. So true. And so 3 days on my family have yet to notice it but it is making me feel tremendous each morning ;-). Labels: Making me smile. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Whoops a daisy: June 2011

http://whoopsadaisy-anna.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Monday, 20 June 2011. A most generous hand me down from my Aunty, her piano, arrived here last week. It has found a permanent residence one side of the fireplace, right in the middle of our home. I used to play, but am a bit of a one trick pony at the moment playing Fur Elise and not much else. Still to my non-piano playing family I think they are a little impressed (if not tired of hearing the same tune). Links to this post. Wednesday, 8 June 2011. So here it is - my little red shelf for £1. Ye...I rece...

Whoops a daisy: Beach Party

http://whoopsadaisy-anna.blogspot.com/2012/09/beach-party.html

Monday, 3 September 2012. Still no bathroom pictures I hear you cry! Really though, this is far more interesting. Promise. Yoyo was 9 on Saturday and I gave her a little beach party. I'm not usually one for a 'theme', but with fabulous Pinterest as inspiration I couldn't help myself. My wonderful friend Lizz helped me with everything (think she realised she had to step in when I confessed my usual strategy was to throw a pack of hula hoops in a bowl and shove some music on). And the finished result.

Home Thoughts From A Broad. How I transformed my house into my home. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Making over a $5 bargain. My first post back after a very long time features a little project I've been intending to do for about 3 years. That's typical of me btw. shocking procrastinator. ;o). Anyway. the aformanetioned project was to re finish or recover this little chap. It was covered in a hideous brown leatherette material, but it was a good size, and I knew it would be really handy. Anyway Chintz and Co.

Home Thoughts From A Broad: Kitchen Renovations [AGAIN !!]

http://jdumoulin.blogspot.com/2011/11/kitchen-renovations-again.html

Home Thoughts From A Broad. How I transformed my house into my home. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. When we first moved into our house the kitchen was VERY typical for the age of the house [1990] and the area we live in. Oak cabinets, pink. yes PINK worktops, shiny lino, and a mish mash of second hand appliances that came with the house. [That happens quite commonly here.]. I will show you all of this I promise in a series of posts in the new year. there's an awful lot to see. 65279;. 65279;I loved the ...

Home Thoughts From A Broad. How I transformed my house into my home. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Box for the Laundry cubbies. Ok so remember this. It's the old cardboard box that I planned to cover and use in the cube storage unit in my newly organised Laundry room cupboard. Well I couldn't use the scrap of fabric remnent I originally planned because, as it turns out, it wasn't quite big enough. Returns and Bill's old divorce paperwork. On the inside I glued and duct taped again. This cute handle I fou...

Whoops a Baby! – by Tommy Lee Sparks

By Tommy Lee Sparks. So I found out the sex of the baby! Brittinie did not want to know and wanted to have a reveal party so I had a great time in planning that out. I cannot go into too much detail yet as we are not done letting close family members know. Stay tuned next week for more details! We are leaving town and heading out to California to spend a few days with my family and reveal the sex of the baby. We hope to hear from the insurance company during that time as well. What I learned this week:.

Whoopsadaisy! | Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my blog. April 9, 2012 by whoopsadaisy. I found this in my drafts folder from quite. A while back but it still rings true. In fact I think I have given myself something to think about! Have people forgotten what it’s like to be alone? To be alone with your own thoughts and only yourself to listen to them? Phone a friend. Or better still, scrape your bum off the sofa or office chair and go see them. Talk to them face to face, not through a screen or keyboard. April 9, 2012 by whoopsadaisy.
