Home Warranty! - Sweet Sassy Molassy!
http://redmelde.livejournal.com/234135.html
Sep 22nd, 2008 at 10:37 AM. The day has come where we have to choose a home warranty company for the new house. I've been looking over the brochures the realtor gave us for weeks, and really? They all look pretty much the same. Does anybody out there have a home warranty? You have one right? An awesome home warranty company that provides great service? Especially a company that offers an annual premium around $400/year? Since that's what the sellers are obligated to pay). 4 comments Leave a comment.

What I did Friday. - Sweet Sassy Molassy!

What I did Friday. Oct 4th, 2008 at 3:52 PM. Rushed to a doctor's appointment. Got blood drawn FROM MY HAND (not recommended, it hurts pretty bad today). Updated my Google Calendar with all the weddings I'm attending in the next 2 months. Called about an Amazon we might be adopting/fostering for a while. With tofu and snap peas for lunch. Went to work, dealt with several "emergencies" that had been put off by everyone else in my department until I got there. Worked an hour late. Came home, did the dishes.

Sep 15th, 2008. Suddenly, I am in a state of sickening near-panic because I just realized that the house we just bought is on the opposite side of town from the nearest decent baguette. For reference, we are currently within walking/biking distance of 3 excellent bakeries). Like, "it's nearly 4 AM and I can't sleep and I just had to take an anxiety pill near-panic." Not like "oh, oops, guess we'll just have to drive across town whenever we need good bread since baguettes are a one-day-fresh item.". I got...

Long weekends are never long enough. Dec 27th, 2005 at 12:19 PM. My wheel came, and she and I are slowly coming to an agreement. There are lots of fiddly bits to contend with, and teaching my foot to treadle slooooooowly while I manage all the other steps is proving to be more difficult than I thought. Here's the wheel in our living room. And here's the first yarn I managed to make. Christmas tree with presents and all lit up. Obviously there are a metric fuckton more photos in here. They're all so awful!

Nov 4th, 2008. From some of the reactions here at work, you'd think that Obama had announced his plans to start personally knocking on doors and taking away their paychecks. 5 comments Leave a comment. This post has both pie and hair content, but nothing about hair pie. Nov 25th, 2006 at 12:01 PM. First up, Thanksgiving. They were GOOD. So good, in fact, that I brought all the leftovers back home and Seamus and I finished them off at lunchtime yesterday! And now, a palate cleanser. I needed a break from all that rich, heavy Thanksgiving food. So I made a big salad! Red Romaine and butter lettuces with flat-leaf parsley, sweet orange peppers, and homemade balsamic dressing. I got Colonial House. If not,...

Sep 25th, 2008. Since I got home at 11:30 tonight, I've seen 2 enormous roaches and a rat. Suddenly, moving doesn't seem like such a horrific ordeal. 3 comments Leave a comment. Sep 25th, 2008 11:32 am (UTC). Sep 25th, 2008 03:45 pm (UTC). No, but I did get a rear view of the rat's giant scrotum as he disappeared under the dishwasher and one of the roaches fell off the ceiling into the fan and got flung into the blinds. The other roach was flying, which is about the most terrifying thing they can do.
