A General Collection of Stuff and Things. Opera Moving to Webkit. Opera has released bombshell news that it will be moving away from it’s homegrown Presto rendering engine to the ubiquitous Webkit. I’ve used Opera since version 5 which was released in 2000, the horrible days of IE6 reign and table layouts. It had a multiple document interface, mouse gestures, and a fully customizable interface which was more than other browsers could say.

I made a note to look up what these do, why Google is using them, and why potentially anyone should use them. Normally a browser would detect that it is an HTML page and display it as such.
