Joy With Sugar on Top: September 2011

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. After we use a bottle, we rinse it out and toss the pieces into the shoebox tote in the left of the picture. They are collected there until we are in need of clean bottles. Then you put the whole shoebox container into the sink to scrub the bottles. It saves time by giving you a smaller space to fill with water and you also don't have to sanitize it since no food or other items were washed into it. Here is the link to the drying rack in case you are shopping around for one-.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Stay Home vs Work Mama. After lots of thought, I decided that I would in fact give staying home with Jack a chance. Fast forward a few months. Here are some of the important things I have found along the way that I feel are necessary for me to be a great stay at home mom:. Adult time (without your child). Play Dates (a combo of adult time for me and playdate/exposure to other kids for Jack.). An escape. For me that involves disappearing with Jack to my parents farm. Trips to the ...

http://joywithsugarontop.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 30, 2011. Boy is it hard to blog with a new little one. I feel like if I get a shower and all my meals eaten I am doing awesome for the day! Funny how priorities change for a new little one. These past two weeks have been filled with an insane amount of emotions on top of a wicked learning curve. Glad to see I have made it this far and I keep hearing it gets easier as I go. Here's to progress! From this whole experience, I have learned a few things. How fast babies grow! After considering ...

http://joywithsugarontop.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 29, 2011. Ok so this kid has some of the cutest pictures but these may be my new favorites. There is no way you can look at these pictures without giggling, right? They are just my favorite. I bought the boots and already had the pants and shirt on hand. I made his belt, beard and hat though :). And to answer some questions we have already received. No he isn't for sale. He can not be your yard ornament. No he is not sponsored by Travelocity. :). Labels: baby lawn gnome costume. That so...

Joy With Sugar on Top: A Parents Job.
http://joywithsugarontop.blogspot.com/2012/04/parents-job.html
Wednesday, April 11, 2012. For instance, for a while Jack was having a hard time sleeping in his crib at night. I am adamant about not having him sleep with us because. A) it seems like a hard habit to break. B) I wouldn't get any sleep which gets ugly. C) Our Pomeranian already takes up too much room. D) All of the Above! I have a feeling some people will not agree with this statement but I love it. I want to, of course, keep Jack safe; however I don't want to always protect him from everything unpl...

http://joywithsugarontop.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 29, 2011. Two blog entries in one day. Aren't you lucky ;). Well I finally finished one of the projects off my to-do list for the past several months. Before I forget, here is the link to the original project that inspired me: Starburst Mirror. Mirrors: I used 10 inch ones (bought at Jo-Ann near wedding decor, candle table centerpieces). Wooden Skewers (bought at Walmart for super cheap). The Finshed Project: (Pre-Painting). I also attached a string to the back of the mirror so they could hang.

Joy With Sugar on Top: Metal Letters.
http://joywithsugarontop.blogspot.com/2012/04/metal-letters.html
Sunday, April 15, 2012. A Container of Paint. A lid for dumping your paint on. Another supply not pictured that I suggest would be papers to put under your project. Mid-Process I took a picture to show the letters. Once they were coated well, I used 3M velcro strips to attach up above! Cute, simple, but just enough to add something special up there :). April 15, 2012 at 5:23 PM. We have matching kitchen letters now! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Month: November Year: 2014.

Friday, April 20, 2012. I was in the scrapbooking aisle the other day trying to find supplies for a project. I saw this cute sheet of scrapbooking stickers and wanted to use it in my house. I bought the stickers trying to figure out what to do with it. Then I thought, why not just stick them on a canvas? Because this art project was a quick revelation, I didnt think to take pictures until now. A Canvas -mine is 8x10. A sheet of stickers.imagine they are still there :). Sunday, April 15, 2012. So with thi...
