Saturday, March 22, 2008. The South Island and West Coast. After a pretty rough crossing we emerged into the relative calm of Queen Charlotte Sound. We drove down to Blenheim and met my Grandfather (Peter) for lunch. Amazingly, he still has the same car which he's now had for 50 years. Saturday, March 22, 2008. Our time here was split between my Dad's place in Kaitoke and Rich and Suzzanne's place in Haitaitai. The kids loved being in Kaitoke - in particular being able to have the run of the place and interact with the animals (they are a little hesitant about Bridget the pig after she attempted to charge them down one day).
