The Mowles Family: October 2009
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 21, 2009. When the BFF comes to town. My best friend Anna came to visit from Maryland recently. She came for her cousin's wedding and stayed an extra week so she'd have plenty of time to visit with her extended family and with yours truly. We had grand plans. We were going to hang out every single day and possibly even throw in a trip to Disneyland! And then, as it so often does, life happened. Sunday, October 4, 2009. In just a few short weeks our little baby girl will be two! So I sp...

The Mowles Family: September 2009
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 17, 2009. The time I locked you in the car with the engine running. I have a feeling this is one of those family stories I'll be repeating for the next few decades. Sara, you and I went to Walmart yesterday. It was a pretty uneventful trip. I only picked up a couple of things, and of course we stopped to look at the fish before checking out. Crisis over- not that you were even remotely aware that there had been a crisis in the first place. Monday, September 7, 2009. Our little girl ha...

The Mowles Family: Letters to Sara on her third birthday, part two
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2010/11/letters-to-sara-on-her-third-birthday_01.html
Monday, November 1, 2010. Letters to Sara on her third birthday, part two. You are a big girl: three years old now! How did time go by so quickly? I remember bringing you home like it was yesterday. This past year was a big year for you; you started preschool and really got into your books and puzzles. You enjoy singing and dancing more each day. I am proud of everything you have become. You treat your friends and family very kindly and sweetly, and are a good listener. December 9, 2010 at 3:24 PM.

The Mowles Family: July 2009
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2009. Catching up: The 5th of July. On the Sunday of the long holiday weekend we headed to Heritage Park to meet up with our good friends the Rosa Family. Much to Brian's chagrin, the park had no playground equipment, but I don't think the girls minded at all. They just played in the sand, enjoyed some bubbles, and drank lots of water. Catching up: The 4th of July. Thursday, July 23, 2009. Catching up: The third of July. We had a wonderful, busy 4th of July weekend. We kicked things ...

The Mowles Family: Letters to Sara on her Fourth Birthday, Part One
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2011/11/letters-to-sara-on-her-fourth-birthday.html
Friday, November 11, 2011. Letters to Sara on her Fourth Birthday, Part One. My precious baby girl:. Just like that, another year has come and gone. And what a year it was. A lot of things happened, but most notably, we expanded our family, and you are now a big sister! You lived through all the changes that came along with pregnancy, bringing home a baby, and your daddy changing jobs. And, aside from a few power struggles and potty rebellions, you really weathered it all beautifully. PS Did you know tha...

The Mowles Family: February 2012
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. While Sara seems to have inherited some of my "taking self too seriously" tendencies, I think Brady has a future as a practical joker. He is such a little stinker! This is the face he makes lately when I point a camera at him. Anyway, he thinks it is hi-larious to be naughty and get a reaction. For example, if he is unrolling the toilet paper, he is looking over his shoulder the whole time waiting for me to notice. Yep, this one is a little stinker. Thursday, February 2, 2012.

The Mowles Family: August 2009
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. Last week we had a family baby shower/UFC fight night party to acknowledge and welcome Tanja's second baby boy, due in late September. The party had a fun, casual atmosphere, and I think the guests had lots of fun. We can't wait for this baby boy (Blake? To get here and join his brand new cousin Kyle, not to mention his older brother and cousins! We all love him so much already! Friday, August 7, 2009. Welcome, Kyle Alexander! Congratulations to Alex and Carla! Sara is now twenty...

The Mowles Family: June 2009
http://mowlesfamily.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Happy anniversary to the best guy in town. Today Larry and I are celebrating our eighth wedding anniversary. What a wonderful, quick eight years those have been! Although we have our moments, I still love him to pieces and am so grateful to have him as my husband and partner. He is a wonderful, smart, funny man, and he's awfully cute, too, which is a bonus. ;). Happy anniversary, my love! Monday, June 22, 2009. This might be my favorite. While Sara refers to most dogs as "woof...
