Tuesday, December 29, 2009. 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter. 1-1/4 c. white sugar. 1/2 c blackstrap molasses. 1 T rum, brandy, whiskey, etc. 2-1/2 c. all purpose flour. 2-1/4 tsp. baking soda. 1 tsp sea salt. 1 T powered ginger. 1/2 tsp. ground white pepper. 2 T grated fresh ginger. 1/2 c candied ginger, finely chopped. 1/2 c more white sugar, in a shallow dish.
