A Sister in Christ . . . A Widow with Hope. Monday, November 14, 2011. When I cry out, HE does hear me and HE does respond… My basketball hoop is proof. It came from HIM. I was crying out…I needed help…Some people responded to my cry. They came and fixed and helped. I appreciated every little thing. A friend came and helped. It was rusty and nasty. It needed new bolts and screws. So the hoop had to be taken down until we could replace some the bolts and screws. Off to The Home Depot I went. We had a list.

I am so pleased you are here! Had there been a website like this at my fingertips when my own husband died, I would’ve learned that others had the same fears and made similar if not identical mistakes. I also would’ve learned that it’s OK to celebrate small victories, almost like one celebrates the first steps of a baby. I might have felt less alone, less unsure of myself. Moving on is a gift you give to yourself. Lesson of the day.
