The day got off to a good start with a pre-breakfast milk run to the dairy, resulting in finding a Firecrest calling from the front garden. These little 'crackers' have occurred twice before in the garden both in spring. These Teal were inadvertently put up from one of our ponds, attracting the attention of a Peregrine. The Peregrine performed a half hearted dive but didn't carry out a full blooded attack, obviously it had already eaten!
