Sunday, 22 December 2013. Ending a Never-Ending Battle. Keeping this blog up to date is a never-ending battle, partly because of time constraints and partly because of our internet connections. As you know, I also have a difficult time being brief, so. 9 days), I plan to either be current or to omit more than my. Obsessive -compulsive personality is comfortable with and start the new year off with current information. (I guess that's a new year's resolution). Plus 35 with the humidex! Laying the last row...

Sunday, 27 July 2014. Last Post From the Field. This is an exciting and a sad time for us. Serving a mission has been such a great experience! On the one hand, I hate for it to end. On the other, were so excited to be going home and to see everyone again. Weve delivered our farewell talks, enjoyed a good-bye party, laughed and cried and said most of our goodbyes. Sending Elder Russell Home. Putting Sheri to work doing . what do you think? Teaching English of course! View From the Tower. Send any mail for...

Sunday, 5 January 2014. The Best I Could Do! This is a long post, but it takes us to December. Hope you enjoy sharing some of our experiences through these pictures. For the Women's Broadcast in October, Elder Smith and Elder Seaman made and served the sisters a delicious, gluten free pasta meal! Sis Gisele Lacroix and Sis. Fabienne Racine putting a fruit salad together for desert while the Elders complete meal preparations. A man the elders were teaching managed to arrange a tour for only the six of us.

Rhodes around New Delhi: September 2013

Thursday, 5 September 2013. We love our landlady! Regina Gabrysz is 87 years old and loves to go about doing good. She kept me in a supply of lilacs from her yard during lilac season. We had a Branch activity at the end of June. 54 people attended; 14 were from Ottawa. That’s a great turnout when you consider we only have around 20 people attending church on Sundays. I was in charge of the games, which included some relays, of course. The adults really enjoyed bocci ball. The bubbles were also a great hit.

Rhodes around New Delhi: Two Steps Forward and One (or two) StepsBack
http://www.rtrhodes.com/2014/03/two-steps-forward-and-one-or-two.html
Monday, 17 March 2014. Two Steps Forward and One (or two) StepsBack. Well, here I go getting behind again. Just when I think I've got it right life gets in the way and I'm back to square one. With less than two weeks to prepare, I spent every available minute of an already-busy schedule preparing. But I was still determined to do it in French. I'm not so foolish, however, as to think that I could do the translation myself in such a short time. I am far from bilingual! The next day our computer crashed!

Monday, 7 October 2013. Will I Ever Get Caught Up? Our High Counsel visitor in July was Brother Chris Olsen. We really enjoyed him and his lovely family. In conversation he mentioned he had served his mission in France. Imagine our surprise when we discovered he was one of Chuck's companions! What a small world, as they say. Elder Messinger, Elder Newman, Elder Seaman, Elder Smith, and Elder Rhodes. Elder Smith is still our next door neighbor, but now Elder Seaman is his companion. He did a good job).

Monday, 28 April 2014. All-Mission Conference and More. Our trip to Montreal was great! The four elders traveled with us. (That was an experience in itself). They're a lot of fun and we enjoyed their company. When we arrived in Montreal we went directly to the mission office to get the keys to Sis. Abrams apartment. She was our hostess for the night. I was so excited when the first person we met when we climbed the stairs was Elder Grant! Photo by Ralph Shipp on Flickr. The conference was wonderful!

IT'S GHANA BE GOOD!: March 2012
http://itsghanabegood.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
IT'S GHANA BE GOOD! Adventures in West Africa. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. We are all really just children walking around in bodies that are "seasoned," a nice way of saying - getting older. I don't think our minds ever really get old, unless we let them stay still. It's fun to stay curious, inventive, playful, and my friend, Ann, has brought out these girlish qualities in many of us here, by sharing her Doll House. The Dining Room. It's as elegant as any 19th century dining room could be. I love the golf...

IT'S GHANA BE GOOD! Adventures in West Africa. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Doing the same things, but in a different way. I read a book, Doing What Must be Done. Our shopping area is called Makola Market - and it is a free-for-all, so to speak, of open-air stands and displays. If you want to go into business, set up some shelves, get a product, and go to work. Here they are: Joseph, Steven, and Jill. He found a pair which pleased him and, voila: new shoes at a decent price. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Last week...
