It was such a pretty view, I had to get a picture! These monkeys need some sort of kid "American Ninja Warrior" to satisfy their climbing needs! We met some Ottumwa peeps halfway to play at the park on Monday! We love being able to do this.we had to rip the kids away from each other when it was time to go! There are the monkeys again. Monday, April 27, 2015. Field trips and fun! Mallory has had some fun field trips to the lake and to a farm! And the best field trip of all was the Civil War Re-Enactment down the street at the park! I brought the neighbor kids and we had our own little "field trip.". We learned about the cannons. Met a "soldier.". And petted the horses used in the battle! Thursday, June 25, 2015. Dance Recital and VBX! Mallory had her dance recital last Saturday, and the grandparents were nice enough to make the trip for her 2 minute performance! She does love it, and got invited to try out for the competition team, but I'm not sure we are quite ready for that commitment yet! Saturday, August 8, 2015. It's official.we are hicks.Zach attached the sprinkler to the top deck for some fun last weekend! It's a tad bit better than the rope trailing behind his mower with Brady attached on his skate board. :). I also found Winnie on the trampoline by herself one evening.she always wants on! Poor Winnie had a swollen face on Monday after her vaccines. She had a mild allergic reaction and swelled up as we were driving away from the vet! Free food, games, and fun! Posted by Julie Wigle.

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Brady is going around saying he is officially a "kindergartener." :) Well, not quite, but today was his last day of preschool! Brady and Mrs. Pfaffe. They spent a lot of time together, as with my job at the middle school, she allowed him to come either early or stay late, until I was done teaching. What a blessing to our family! He is such a sweet, chubby, smiley boy! This was his first time in the ExerSaucer and he loved it! Although not an official weight from the doctor's office, when we weigh him he is about 18 pounds! This past week we had some construction on our street and the girls were at the window or outside watching for two days. It was a busted pipe, so they had to dig up the old asphalt, replace a section of pipe, fill in the hole and replace the asphalt. We talked with the guys several times and had fun watching. As promised, here is Jared's awesome sad face! Isn't he stinkin' cute! Can you believe it!

SKAD Family (Simon, Kelly, Ava, Dylan). Monday, April 28, 2014. Sunday, April 27th, the family headed to Cherry Creek for a great day of racing but, before the weekend got started the kids had their usual week full of 3 nights of soccer, 2 nights of track practice, guitar and homework as well as a few more added events like Night-of-The-Arts. One of Ava's goals for 2014 was to play at Night-Of-The-Arts for school and she did fantastic. We arrived early for Simon to start his 10 mile race at 7:30 AM.

Saturday, June 9, 2012. Davis County youth track 2012. We spent the day at the Davis County youth track meet which was our first time participating. Man, we have been missing out! What an incredible event for the kiddos. Grandpa Rex and Grandma Mary graciously got up before dawn to drive 3 hours to watch Zo in her long jump and both in various races.
