Wednesday, August 12, 2009. More pictures of life in Highlands. Just thought I would post a few other pictures of Highlands. Here is the interior of the farm house and the new soaking tub on the back porch. Also, a good view from a hike on Whitesides mountain, a beautiful green wall loaded with a variety of ferns, and a self-timer shot of me at Glen falls. Sunday, May 31, 2009. What a great weeknd! 160;My birthday party Friday night at Citrus Cafe with friends. A hike in new Rothenbach Park on Saturday. Saying so-long to church and my choir on Sunday with a great Pentecost service followed by brunch at Marina Jacks with the choir. This is what it feels like to be fifty-one-derful. Leaving early next Saturday morning, June 6, for San Antonio. . Labels: last weekend at home. Friday, May 22, 2009. Long list of things to do. T - one week and counting!

Friday, July 31, 2009. It really was like stepping back in time. What does one do here? You walk around and say hello to everyone you see. You drive down a road just because you are curious and you enjoy being lost in the greenness and the play of the filtered afternoon sun. I even stopped and talked out loud to some curious cows by the road. It was fun to visit, but I know I would have the heebie-geebies in about a week if I had to live here.
