A Daily Dose of Derk. Friday, April 29, 2005. It's Friday. Time for some quick hits. New driller added some costs. Seems that there is a minimum depth for drilling that is charged for. Who knew. Another 2am phone call. Luckily, I got to bed early so I didn't lose any sleep. Just in case the caller is reading this (and I know you are), this is not a complaint, just a comment. As I have said, keep calling if you need to talk. I'd rather you call me than sit around feeling miserable. Not much to say today.

It seemed kind of surreal having to come back, since the 10 days in Barbados seemed a blissful lifetime. I could actually see myself living there. Really. A Daily Dose of Derk. Friday, July 29, 2005. I had a lot of fun last night playing softball. We did a number on the team we are fighting for 2nd place, beating them 26-11. As usual, we had our one bad inning where a bunch of errors cost us 6 runs, but fortunately our 3 seven run innings (mercy rule) allowed us to stay ahead of the game. A Daily Dose of Derk. Sunday, May 29, 2005. Since my last blog? This past week was my first pump test supervision. It started Tuesday morning (step test) and ran until Saturday morning, after which we measured recovery. So in summary, I worked 12 hour days from Tuesday to Friday, worked an 8 hour day Saturday (followed by dinner in London with my dad), and worked from 730 until now (approx. 1pm) on Sunday. WTF.
