Monday, February 6, 2012. I have heard it said that mothers don't ever go on vacation, they go on trips. How true that is! This summer we went on a trip to San Francisco, then down to Sequoia National Park, including King's Canyon, and then back to Reno. Thursday, February 17, 2011. It's Great To Be 8. She's FINALLY 8. She thoughth it would take forever for her birthday to come, but she got there. The big 0-8. For one of her gifts, she and I spent one afternoon shopping for her baptism dress and going out to lunch. She got to pick. We went to the Olive Garden. And got a beautiful dress. She was a hilarious shopping companion. I tried to get her to pick a really pretty dress with lace and beading, but she would have none of it. Favorite thing to do: READ!

Thursday, September 16, 2010. Adrienne has started kindergarten. She was so excited. But a little wistful. I am now a mother without a baby, or a toddler. I don't even have a preschooler anymore. I love the freedom, but miss having my little sidekick with me through the day. However, I just realized on Tuesday that I can go to the temple in the morning if I am so inclined. Or I can go back to bed for a nice little morning nap. Or I can organize my closet, if I were so inclined. I just got a sunburn.

Thursday, August 12, 2010. High Adventure Camp: The Conclusion. Nathan finished up his high adventure camp with indoor skydiving. He really liked it until they turned up the air flow on his last turn. He panicked and started flailing around because he said he couldn't breathe. His poor instructor thought he had a wild man on his hands. Needless to say, that last turn was cut short. Other than that, it was a lot of fun and we were sad to see it end. Monday, November 15, 2010. A Series of Unfortunate Events, or It's Hard To Be A Girl. As a caution, if you have a weak stomach, or cannot find humor in bodily functions, please stop now. We" decided that we would go for a little ride up the canyon for a really great hike last Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful so we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to be outside. There was beauty all around. Lots of opportunities for throwing rocks into the water. Little did we know what lay ahead.

Sunday, July 4, 2010. July 3rd is quite a day for our family. It is Grandpa Stan's (Walker) birthday and it is the anniversary of the day Grandpa Williams passed away - one year ago! We are in Utah for the blessing of Jeremy and AJ's. Twins and to be here with my Mom for the first. Anniversary of Dad's passing! After our visit to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery we joined the Williams crew at the Purple Turtle for some lunch and the went to the Provo Cemetery to visit Grandpa Williams' grave. The grandkids.

Both Tess and Miles had soccer games and practices, plus Miles did baseball and Tess did softball!
