Wednesday, September 15, 2010. On the Rocky Mountaineer. On our recent Canada trip, we traveled from Banff to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer train. One of the best train journeys we have ever taken. We started up in the mountains traveling down the valleys to Kamloops where the train stops and we stayed at a hotel overnight. Friday, July 4, 2008. We recently stayed in Zermatt and enjoyed the region including the Matterhorn. On the Road Again. We recently drove from Brisbane in Queensland down to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. We took a little over two weeks to do the 4,400km trip. Friday, September 18, 2009. Strange Characters you meet in the Outback. On the way to El Questro station, (Ranch) we came across Klaus, a German traveller who converted an old van to be towed with his two camels, Willie and Snowy, and a nameless dog. Naturally, we stopped for a chat and gave him some oranges which he promptly fed to his camels. Flying over the Bungle Bungles. While staying at the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Resort, we took a helicopter ride over the Bungle Bungles, a fabulous experience.
