http://lizfinnie.blogspot.com/2010_03_14_archive.html
Wednesday, March 17, 2010. 17th March 2010, Stokes Valley. Today was stay-at-home day, which I spent tearing out my hair, trying to work out how to move my Lightroom catalogue over to an external harddrive? The trouble is I had already copied over the photos so I was treating it more as a backup. In between gnashing my teeth I have been interrogating the Internet and found elegant solutions only to find that my software (Vista) will not play ball! And do you remember I said little things change? Once hom...

Thursday, May 13, 2010. A sneak walk on th golfcourse! 6th May 2010, Thursday. Unfortunately flowers fade and die but some look beautiful to me even when they are passed it like this yellow rose that has aged very gracefully! Today Tach and I took a long walk. We decided to sneak along the golfcourse not absolutely certain if we should. But we saw other people walking so . we followed. We remained alert for golfers 'pitching' in our direction! Friday, March 12, 2010. Calm before the storm. 12th March Friday. Stokes Valley. Today we first went to the South African shop called On Trays to see our South African friends Steve and Valda but also to buy some delicious Palma ham. Steve was just unwrapping a whole leg! Then we went on to do some grocery shopping. One often sees caravans of this kind but usually they are painted in garish colours. The temperature dropped nine degrees in half an hour! I was ready to forgo entering not wishing to travel ...

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. 13th April, Tuesday. This evening I went to camera club. The weather had begun to crack up after several weeks of really fine weather. We had our cameras and tripods and set out for 3/4 hour to find some pictures. It was quite dark but surprisingly there was quite a bit of light when you looked for it! This is a tiled mural outside Waterloo Station (also called Hutt Central Station). Graffiti scratchings on the glass of the bus shelter with theilluminated street behind. But to ...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010. A walk along Kelly's Beach with Tash. 16th May 2010, Sunday. Tash and I took a long walk - first we had lunch near the beach then we went along the footpath to Kelly's Basin and then onto the main Kelly's Beach. The day was mildly overcast. Tash is great fun to be with and started leaping up in the air. I captured her in full flight. Then it was my turn! She took over the camera and even I could manage a star jump! Tuesday, May 18, 2010. 15th May 2010, Saturday. Sunday, May 16, 2010.

Saturday, December 18, 2010. Unorthodox camerawork - Sally Mason's Workshop, Rarangi Beach, Blenheim, New Zealand. Sally's Workshop was an insiration - an opportunity to break the rules- many photos are anything but sharp. The emphasis was on playfulness and feeling about a place or subject. For example, the yellow. Roses are drooping and petals have fallen. Does this convey happiness or sadness? Saturday, December 18, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Liz's 365 Day Blog.
