Neels Gap to HogPen Gap (6.5 Miles). May 31, 2015. We thought the dogs were tired from the last couple of days so we decided to break up this section into parts. Neels Gap to Tesnatee Gap. 55 miles, May 12, 2015). There was a rain shower moving in from the west so we decided to have breakfast with Google to let the storm pass. Housatonic River to Jug End Road (5.4 Miles). July 14, 2014. We hiked this section on July 4, 2014. The plan today was to hike from Sages Ravine to Salisbury, Connecticut. But, there was a big storm front coming in from the west. Accuweather said it would be clear after 10 (wrong! So we didn’t meet SIMS until 10:30. So, we decided to turn around and get gas. After we fueled up, we checked out the AT crossing off of Kellogg Road – the parking lot was very muddy and washed out. Since the parking lot was wa...

Rafting Trip in 2010. We had two waterproof Olympus point and shoot cameras on this trip. We brought along 4 extra batteries and we never reviewed our pictures during the trip. We also brought a Flip Video Camera which was not waterproof. We had to put the video camera inside a waterproof pouch and then clip it to our life jacket when we went through the rapids – therefore our videos of the rapids are not very good. Day 1 – Welcome. Day 2 – Little Colorado River. Day 3 – Day of the Rapids. It was definit...

On the Little Naches River. Finding established trails with the length we need is still a challenge; we drove up to a mountain pass that is still closed and walked up trails as we found them. We only saw about ten cars the whole day. The day became even more ominous when we looked up and saw Turkey Vultures. On th...

Camera in hand we headed out for Hike 13 and the Weekly Photo Challenge; Together. On our way to Quartz Creek. Leanna Joyner: Struck Mute by Fear
http://leannalj.blogspot.com/2013/05/struck-mute-by-fear.html
I am here to bring joy, hope and optimism into this world. Friday, May 17, 2013. Struck Mute by Fear. Bill says he knows I was scared because I was so quiet. My otherwise bubbly, verbal chatter languished while an internal dialogue of fear raced inside my head, from the "what ifs" and "is this really designed properly? To the self-soothing words to squelch the distress. Ip lining, like h...
