財團法人荒野基金會 www.wildformosa.org 旨在成為華人世界的自然生態教育推廣平台. 自然教育師資培訓營的營地在海拔2250公尺的高黎貢山自然保護區的自然公園，營地前是人工小草原，周圍是大片林海。在離營地不遠的林中有一方小沼塘，我常在夜晚來錄音或夜拍。沼塘生物相豐富，我從鳴聲就分辨有五種蛙類，這不包括處於非繁殖季而默然無語的其他蛙種。而珍貴的高黎貢山疣螈，更是不可能錯過的蟹逅。一晚，我跟台南野馬老師又來夜拍，他發現塘邊臨水的岸樹上，樹蛙卵泡正在孵化，一小團一小團的小蝌蚪扭動著落入水塘中。就在落水區的附近，水下有約十隻的疣螈正在那裏捕食小蝌蚪。上週三到台北市胡適國小進行閱讀自然探索課程，一段不到200公尺的巷弄探索，竟帶給孩子們許多快樂又輕鬆的學習經驗。提到熱帶雨林你會想到甚麼畫面？是繽紛的林中生物？顏色鮮艷的鳥類、蛙類？還是懸吊在大樹枝頭的藤蔓植物？要體驗雨林的氛圍一定要遠渡重洋嗎？在台灣有雨林的景觀嗎？長年以影像與文字記錄生態並創立荒野基金會捍衛環境. 在〈老水牛〉一詩中回憶自己的童年生活充滿野趣令人嚮往. 監製：丁曉菁.
