This month, so far, rain rain rain! But as that snow was getting washed away, the tips of the first spring flowers emerged. Another sign of spring are these baby lambs whose picture I took last week when I helped my friend Deb with shearing at Forevermore Farm:. And Bluefaced Leicester top:. March 15, 2010 at 4:36 pm. Daily Fiber Adventures with Wildhare. December 24, 2010 at 1:08 am. To the tune of ‘Let it Snow’). Oh the weather outside is frightful. Get your needles and some nice wool. Knit a sock from cuff to toe. One more row, one more row, one more row. Add some cables or entrelac. Without a glance at the clock. Putting love into all you knit. Check gauge so you know it will fit. Oh some folks might think we’re crazy. But they sure can’t say we’re lazy). As our projects continue to grow. The Mafia says: SHOP.

Daily Fiber Adventures with Wildhare. 8216;Mom, you’re weird’ (and now an egg-shaped bowl). April 14, 2010 at 9:52 pm. So what became of that lovely top that my children dyed with the leftover Easter egg dye? After much consideration (special wool deserves a special project), it has been transformed into a felted bowl, destined to hold our eggs during Easters yet to come:. So how does a pile of dyed wool turn into an egg-shaped bowl with funky edging? At which point I removed the football and returned it...

Designs and experiences in knitting. Thursday, February 13, 2014. Fun and Fit V-Neck. You see it's like this; I was so fired up about Vogue Knitting Live that I rushed through knitting my sweater (see previous blog post). Because I wanted to wear it there. I call this Fun and Fit V-Neck because I added a fitted waist and the yarn, Mountain Colors. Twizzle in the color winter sky is a delightful hand-painted color mix. Then I was talking to my sister who had just ripped out a sweater she'd knit years ago ...

Carolina Knits: June 2014
http://carolinaknits.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

In the vendor's area, Friends and Fiberworks.

And all fiber is precious gold in it's own way. My first experience with core spinning was a really, really fun disaster. First I learned the basics of spinning in a 2-hour class at the Friends and Fiberworks Winter Retreat. Was I ready to learn core spinning? A page from the book. Notice how the fibers, instead of be...
