This is my first horse, Hope. She was 18 when we pulled her shoes. The images above are of her left front hoof, right out of shoes in 2004 and then in 2006 after I had been trimming her. I purchased Leo about two weeks after her 5th birthday. At that point she'd only had a total of probably 30 days of basic training, and no experience with baths, clippers, trailering, and limited basic grooming.
