Welcome to the July 2016 Diary. 8203;My apologies for not writing a diary recently but life has been very up and time and time non existent. 8203;We got Betty the hen back and she has been broody ever since so I have put her on to some Arauncana hatching eggs. Hopefully in the next few days, we will see a few fluffy bundles. The other hens are doing well since Snowy died, although it is very difficult to keep up with the neighbours egg needs!

Pictures and recipes from the English countryside. This part of the east coast is a very dynamic one and, in contrast to many parts of eastern England, the tip of the reserve is still accreting. The reserve consists essentially of a pair of almost parallel dune systems separated by saltmarsh. The innermost dunes, or West Dunes, which run alongside the access road, were clearly marked on a map of 1779 and are believed to be at least 300 years old; at that time, they would have been the outermost dunes.

Pictures and recipes from the English countryside. 8 oz Plain flour. Frac12; tsp Salt. 2 oz Candied peel. 1 tbsp Black treacle. Frac12; pt Milk. 2 Eggs, beaten. 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda. 1 Grease an 8 inch cake square cake tin. 2 Sift flour and salt. Rub in margarine. 3 Add peel, raisins and sugar to the flour. 4 Warm the treacle in half of the milk, mix with eggs and add the ingredients to the bowl. 5 Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in 1 table spoon of milk and add to the mix.
