life on an island: December 2010
http://natalieinbelize.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. Two point five months later. I had anticipated updating this a lot sooner than mid-December. At least I'm here now, right? I moved in with some friends in Columbia mid-November and started back in my old position as Veterinary Technician at Dutch Fork Animal Hospital. I'm still getting adjusted to my life here, but big things will be happening in my life soon and I'm pretty ecstatic about it all. Posted by just a girl. San Diego...

Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. Belize today, america tomorrow. Well it's my last day in Belize. I have mixed feelings about leaving, but I'm definitely so excited about seeing everybody I've been missing for the past nine months. That's a good thing since I'll probably turn back into a pasty ghost about two weeks after my arrival in South Carolina. I'm sure I'll have a post-arrival post at some point so be sure to check back! Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. Army ants and green iguanas. This week has been pretty slow; it's mainly consisted of fishing for the tern. It's a good thing that I only eat plants anyway because I would never be able to survive in the wild by catching my own fish. What else? Tracy introduced me to Cayo Twist in town; they serve non-dairy ice cream. I think it's soy? In bird news, the tern. Posted by just a girl. I have somehow been here for over a week alread...

Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. A parakeet and a creep. Those guys have been in those little cages for way too long. and they're be that much closer to release! I think that's all patient-wise. Alison and her mom arrived Monday evening. It's so good to see them! Having the company is nice, too. Not that I don't love hanging out with birds the majority of the day, it's just nice to have some human interaction whilst doing so. What's up for this week? I suppose ...

Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. Weekends, a birthday, the Big Island, and SUP. I have failed at my blog updates. What has happened in the past couple of months? Welllll. I got a car, which would explain the lack of blog posts. I've been trying to do as much as possible. And by as much as possible, I really just mean going to the beach and out in general so I can meet people. Out to Molokini for some snorkeling! Yes After, I stopped at Ulupalakua Winery. In oth...

Follow the adventures of Colette and Maya in their new home on Ambergris Caye off the coast of Belize. Aug 25, 2009. Kind Kids, Karaoke and Costa Maya (and ponies). Life is like Sanskrit read to a pony. Colette's biggest worry in the planning of this whole trip was that the kids wouldn't turn up on time. The adventure was starting on a Saturday morning and all of the children needed to be at the dock at 6:45am for the 7:00am express boat. The San Pedro - Belize Express Water Taxi Company. Life on an island. Birds, adventures, mishaps, and a vagrant's life on maui. The zoo and guests. so many guests. I was invited to partake in a training session in Belmopan today. It was geared towards the upcoming field study that involves trapping small felids and jaguar prey items for radio-collaring and sampling. I learned how to load syringes for the dart gun AND shoot the dart gun! We covered zoonotic diseases as well and I learned about a fun one that can be contracted from birds. Hooray! I have no...
