The Urban Garden Project. Projects On The Go! Saturday, 30 May 2015. Nottingham Uni's MSc Exhibition. On Tuesday I found out that there was an exhibition on in Nottingham, displaying work from students doing the Nottingham Uni's MSc Biological Photography and Imaging. Without Twitter I wouldn't of even known that this course existed! Kate MacRae (known as WildlifeKate) was opening the exhibition with a small speech to all the visitors. It was really nice to catch up with Kate again! Either volunteering o...

wildlifebilly: August 2015

http://www.wildlifebilly.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

The Urban Garden Project. Projects On The Go! Monday, 31 August 2015. Cairngorm National Park 2015. Our lodge was literally a few metres away from the river tay, the longest river in Scotland! The first individual we saw, grazing on the new heather shoots. The more droppings, the more favoured the 'hideout' is - it could be the most sheltered, have the best view over the moorland to spot predators, just the right size etc. As you can see the one pictures below is near perfect! Mountain hare in monochrome.

The Urban Garden Project. Projects On The Go! Wednesday, 29 July 2015. Work experience with FPCR. This week I am working at FPCR on a work experience placement. The company is mainly architecture-based, but they have a whole host of ecologists, botanists and ornithologists working in their team to ensure that all their designs are eco-friendly and suitable for the wildlife around the proposed building site. And a picromerus bidens. Having surveyed around 5 trees I was given the job of uploading all the i...

wildlifebilly: What an experience!!

http://www.wildlifebilly.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-natural-history-museum-is-far-more.html

The Urban Garden Project. Projects On The Go! Friday, 7 August 2015. And that’s exactly what I decided to do for my work experience a few weeks ago…. Image taken from Wikipedia. Having received the good news a few days previously I packed my bags ready for a week in London! I was staying with my grandparents just out of the centre, having to take an hour commute to the museum every day, but it was worth it! All I know is that I’m now a lot more interested in moths than I was before this experience! With ...
