MAKE OUR OWN APP. The mission of the Wild Plant ID is to design, build, deploy, and maintain a software application template which enables amateurs to accurately identify wild plants in individual ecologically defined areas using pocketable computing devices. There are three objectives which make this app unique among both printed and digital field guides. In these three critical objectives the application is to be:.

MAKE OUR OWN APP. Traditionally, there have been three ways to learn how to correctly identify plants in the wild. Each way had its own advantages and disadvantages. MAKE OUR OWN APP. The other objectives shared more or less with printed and digital field guides are as follows:. 1 Scientifically accurate including both common name and full scientific names with authors for each plant and any synonym for each. 2 Text based: using carefully selected common terms of form and structure for identification with drawings and photographs to help confirm identifications. 5 Intuitive: easy to use and understand. You'll rarely need to consult the help menu.

Wild Plants | A bit about some wild British plants.

A bit about some wild British plants. Posted by dkwtravel under Bramble. Comments Off on Bramble (rubus fruticosus). I ride over fallen pears every morning, pass hedgerows full of haws (. That would have cost 15 in Tesco (when they’re not on offer). We froze two-thirds and made crumble from the rest:. Posted by dkwtravel under Bell Heather. On Headley Heath, plants b...
