Living the adventure...: February 2008

Wednesday, February 27, 2008. The Soothing Sound of a Vacuum. There's something soothing about hearing a vacuum hum along. Maybe it's the fact that it's getting something clean, and then again maybe it's because vacuuming is an easy accomplishment. Either way, this morning was a wonderful day to celebrate the invention of the vacuum. (I know, you're all thinking I'm crazy right about now.). I can't wait to get home tonight and walk on the fresh carpets! Friday, February 22, 2008. Weird Noises In The Night.

Living the adventure...: May 2008
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 19, 2008. Since the last posting on May 1:. 1 Becky turned 31! 2 We made $119 at my mom's garage sale (minus the $80 in gas to get to MI we made $39). 3 We went to the Brewers/Cardinals game on May 9. The first inning was the best for the Cardinals so we're glad we got to see that inning, but we left early and enjoyed not getting stuck in post game traffic. :). Thursday, May 1, 2008. Our First Weekend Apart. But God graciously provided a friend and her two sons who will be road tripping it wi...

Living the adventure...: July 2008
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 7, 2008. The past month has been filled with wonderful opportunities for Brian and I to reconnect with friends and family. While Stevens were here, we had a Crossroad (this was the name of the singles group at Spring Creeek when I was in it) reunion. It was fun getting to catch-up with people I haven't seen in years and to hear how God is working in their lives. And time together at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival. The hardest part about each visit is the last few hours when Anna and Alyss...

Living the adventure...: Looking for a Rain Cloud
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2009/08/looking-for-rain-cloud.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. Looking for a Rain Cloud. During my quiet time this morning, I was reading from the poetry book "If" by Amy Carmichael. The above poem took me off guard because I couldn't figure out what in the world it was talking about. Then I realized that there was a Bible reference at the bottom of the page. So I turned to 1 Kings 18:41-45 and God opened my heart to a valuable lesson. Adventures in Mother Venture. Hi Becky. Im glad to see you are posting! You will have three inches in you...

Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Salad just for me because he knew I liked it. It's amazing to think that it's been a year and that now we're married! In celebration, we spent the evening together and got to enjoy dinner, a walk and reading together. It was really nice not to have any set plans and to just be able to relax together. Updates on other things in life:. So that's life right now. Brian and I are both plugging away at work and when we're not working we're totally enjoying being married!

Stanley Family Stories: March 2013
http://stanleyfamilystories.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. Easter weekend traditions this year looked similar to the past few years (plus a little snow and a visit from Aunt Laura.). On Friday morning, Grandma Denyse hosted an Easter egg hunt at her house. Cousin Parker was able to fully participate this year and the snow made it a little easier to find the eggs. Friday afternoon we dyed eggs with Grandpa Ken and Aunt Laura. Truth be told, we picked on Grandpa for wearing a white shirt to dye eggs. Bleach took those stains right out.
