Jimmy, Audrey, Landon, Emma, and Clara. Monday, May 7, 2012. Week 2, Portugal, Birthday, and Ruins. We packed up and headed back on the road this time to Portugal. We made it to our resort in Portugal in the late afternoon. This resort was beautiful, large gardens, pools, and parks. We had two separate suites, mom and dad were upstairs to ours. Ours had two bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, and a washer and dryer for only 42 euros! We love the off season prices in Portugal! The Prawn, this is just the head.

Jimmy, Audrey, Landon, Emma, and Clara. Monday, October 28, 2013. My good friend Phyllis from Texas had the crazy idea of running a marathon in Frankfurt, Germany together. Since it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive from Brussels I agreed. Now I did another marathon earlier this year in Spain, so the memory was still fresh in my head of what it was like to run a marathon. So I altered my training and mentally trained better and smarted. It was a huge help to have one under the belt. Boys in the park, just talking.

This town has the Spanish charm with white wall buildings and yellow terracotta shingles on the roofs. We then took a horse and carriage ride around the town and the kids got a free pony ride at the end. They were pretty excited. Turns out Portugal is a place the British love to come to during the winters to get away from the cold. Although the message of the show might have been a little much for all the kiddos to understand, the dancing and singing was a lot of fun. You make me tired!
