Mary Lynn Bracht: June 2012
http://marybracht.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
It has taken nearly ten years, but the novel I envisioned writing after visiting South Korea with my mother is complete. I know it is only the first draft and that I have much more work to do, but at this moment, on this day, I feel at peace with myself, finally. Is it weird that I want to cry? The universe whispers, although I also hear the violins.) The coming weeks and months will be reading, re-reading, editing, and fixing, but tonight - I'm celebrating! Links to this post. I'm reading A History of East Asia. A roomful of artifacts. Room 67 at the British Museum.if you haven't been, go. It's fantastic. I spent the morning with dragons, kings, gods, and even Buddha himself. The Korea room even has a re-constructed Sarangbang built via the same techniques as traditional builders back in the day. My favorite artifact? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A roomful of artifacts. 169; Mary Bracht. Simple theme. Theme images by gaffera.

Mary Lynn Bracht: May 2012

I have begun writing part two of my novel. It is coming along, day by day, and sending me into many melancholy reveries of my own childhood. Only time will tell if all this looking back will make a good story, but I can say that I have enjoyed every moment. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mary Lynn Bracht: September 2012

Out there, but it is enough for me to know that I strove to reach for it. Only then can I look at this photo with ease and perhaps feel a small sense of camaraderie with the artists who created something so eternally beautiful. And only then can I hit submit! In case you read my prior post, my pitch session at the CBG Discovery Day went very well. I left with a smile and a flicker of hope. Links to this post. Year of the Dragon. Links to this post.
