Jenni in Spain: Darn you, Groupon
http://jenni-in-spain.blogspot.com/2012/03/darn-you-groupon.html
8220;The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Darn you, Groupon. In this particular story, I blame the marketers of Groupon. Damn them and their convincing ways! And with a picture like this. Who could resist, right? So I buy my Groupon and make an appointment for a Friday morning. What a great way to start the weekend! Face-lift lady walks in and points at my pants and say, "Cinturón, abajo." Belt, down. And at this point I make up my ...

Where to?: Update
http://letsseehowfarwego.blogspot.com/2012/04/as-means-of-updating-internet-world-on.html
Viernes, 27 de abril de 2012. As a means of updating the internet world on my future activities - which I know you have been dying. To hear about - I will be staying in Spain next year. I am going to get a Masters at the University of Málaga in education. There are two programs I am applying for: one dealing with innovation in education, and the other which is essentially a teaching certificate for people who already have university degrees. Why am I staying? Let me count the ways. So that's it, dwindlin...

Where to?: junio 2011
http://letsseehowfarwego.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Martes, 28 de junio de 2011. José and I went to Almería for a day. Almería is the only part of Europe that is desert and I was excited to return to a dry climate; albeit one that has a beautiful beach. The city itself seemed rather industrial, but we didn't spend much time there. Of the interesting things that happened:. We went to a beach that was recently featured in the Frugal Traveler. After saying that I would take care of bringing sunscreen, beach chairs, and umbrellas, I totally dropped the ball&#...

Where to?: Two steps to the east, one to the west
http://letsseehowfarwego.blogspot.com/2012/01/two-steps-to-east-one-to-west.html
Jueves, 12 de enero de 2012. Two steps to the east, one to the west. These last two years I've gotten very used to being publicly transported. Living in a northern neighborhood of Málaga and getting down the coast to Fuengirola and later up the mountain to Benalmádena pueblo, my mornings and afternoons were one bus ride after another. This year, the gods smiled on me and gave me a school right in the heart of the city. A short ride on the city bus and there I am. View, photo by José. Teach, Learn, Run.

Jueves, 22 de septiembre de 2011. Yo no ti entendo a tu: The Language Barrier. The other night I was trying to tell José something funny that happened over the phone. You know when you first wake up in the morning and someone is trying to get some really complicated information out of you before you've had a cup of coffee? Yeah, it was like that. My Spanish has Bombed over the summer. Capital B. Does this look like a group that practices their Spanish conversation? That's right, coven of witches. Retinue...

Jenni in Spain: June 2012

8220;The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. I'm sorry. I'm really bad at blogging. The thing is, I'll be riding the metro or walking down the street and I'll be thinking of some story to write, but then I'll go home and Skype with my parents, and then I consider the story sufficiently shared. My apologies. Since the last time I wrote, life has been wonderful. I have so so so many thing I'm thankful for! As I played guitar and sang, th...

Jenni in Spain: February Blues
http://jenni-in-spain.blogspot.com/2012/03/february-blues.html
8220;The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. I think the month of February. Is a hard month for most. It’s a bit cloudier, a bit colder,. Much unlike fresh toast). We celebrated our holidays. Together a few months ago. In January, the memories still brought us joy. In February, oh no, no, no! Oh, what pathetic people are we,. Huddling alone in our rooms. Eating baguette after baguette. And chocolate by the spoon. Please, my friends, ...
