Wednesday, July 27, 2005. Melon of the month. Dennis and Abby came for dinner on Sunday and can you believe this is a cantaloupe? It was only $2 also which was great. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Tom decorated for my bday! Tom had balloons all the way up the stairs to our apartment! All my great birthday presents, flowers, a new backpacking backpack, patches of some countries I've been to for my backpack, a new purse, money, a bracelet (can't see it through the vase though) and some other stuff I probably forgot. Sunday, April 30, 2006. Coming to an end. I paid our last rent check yesterday.I wish I would have taken a picture. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have that done. Friday, March 31, 2006. Mouse in the house. So yah, lots of wet mice around this place! Posted by Jessi @ 5:56:00 PM. Tom and I went to see the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin tonight. They are sooo pretty, like puffs of pink and white cotton all over the trees. The Tidal Basin, a big lake of water, is surrounded by the trees and it's awesome. Saturday, January 28, 2006. Another lovely weekend starting off for us. We made it through the first full work week in awhile, which was a bit rough! We went to dinner last night and then did some shopping and each got our hair cut. Exciting times for us. We were just relieved this time when Tom left with his sideburns intact (the last lady lopped them off without even asking! Sunday, May 28, 2006. Well, we've had a couple of nice, relaxing days since arriving in Oregon. We've been doing lots of reading, resting, and enjoying being away from busy city DC! It's also nice sleeping in the same bed for more than one night, not having single serve shampoos, and the drive to Salem to see my brother (1 hour) seemed to fly by after averaging 12 hour days! I'm contracted for 11 weeks which takes me through the first week in August, so I can manage anything for that amt. of time! Well, ...

Sunday, November 27, 2005. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We got our Christmas tree today and the whole apartment is decorated. It's so fun to have it all set up and I LOVE this time of year. And yes, our tree is outside, thanks to the cats who like to climb it. No need to worry about cleaning up pine needles though.
