We head over to the plant and the media relations woman made sure the Press Pool (national coverage) got the best shots, and the loca...

Welcome to the Industries. Putting the pieces together. Monday, November 17, 2008. The long and winding road to December is finally near. Soon Fall ‘08 classes will end, as will my time as a student at Westminster. Capstone is the stepping stone towards moving into graduation… and here’s how it’s going. As of right now the “interview” for my “job” is still set for the same day but you never know what can happen in the world of news. Good luck with getting a job at KBN, I know that you'll knock 'em dead!

Welcome to the Industries: 10.2008

http://www.williamandrewindustries.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Welcome to the Industries. Putting the pieces together. Thursday, October 30, 2008. One project comes to mind. As one of our first major projects of the class everyone broke into groups and needed to film a sports practice. My group, made up the illustrious Kathryn Larson along with a fellow broadcast major, decided to tape a football practice. It only ended up being me and the other girl since the. 8220;Illustrious One”. 8220;be the zoom”. 8220;Do they want me in there face”. Friday, October 24, 2008.

Welcome to the Industries: Show your stuff.

http://www.williamandrewindustries.blogspot.com/2008/11/show-your-stuff.html

Welcome to the Industries. Putting the pieces together. Tuesday, November 11, 2008. When I was assigned to wear clothes from the Business Casual category I figured a nice polo and khakis pants would do, but I was wrong. Instead I would be wearing. Shoes provided by the. Grove City Prime Outlets. I never realized business casual meant wearing a suit but without the tie. Wearing my tan sports jacket, off-tanish dress paints, olive short sleeved tee shirt I showed my stuff to the seniors.

Friday, August 10, 2007. A Typical Intern Duty? Just to follow up from where I left off.I did get to fill in the next day for my boss Greg, the morning show producer (many may know him as the "treadmill guy"). Anyways, my responsibility was mostly to answer the phones and talk to the listeners, but I had another duty my second day on the job. It was my responsibility to get coffee for the morning show. OK. Nicky's Broadcasting Blog: July 2007

http://nickybroadcasting.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 31, 2007. It's Been a Hard Day's Night. I love the Beatles. So, naturally, I was excited to hear that John needed interns to help out at WHK's Beatles Tribute concert at the House of Blues on Sat. July 21. Unfortunately, I realized I had prior commitments that evening, but I could help out earlier in the day with the setup and the special live broadcast before the concert. Had mentioned in an earlier post, WHK. Radio 1420 AM is celebrating their 85th anniversar. Following link WHK's History!

Nicky's Broadcasting Blog: February 2008

http://nickybroadcasting.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 24, 2008. Thinking back, one of the main reasons I started this blog was to showcase my work in broadcasting. And this past week.my work was made available to the public thanks to one of my professors who posted a story I did up on the school radio station's site, TitanRadio. I soon found that behind the mystery was the college's tunnel, which had been blocked off to the public for more than a decade. However, this only made me think of more questions. To check out the exclusive story!

http://nickybroadcasting.blogspot.com/2008/12/for-future-generations.html

Friday, December 12, 2008. For Future Generations.". Looking back at this semester, I've learned a lot about myself and my capstone group. I also developed my skills as a videographer. Writer, and editor. Through a tedious process, I worked tirelessly all semester on creating a 12-minute documentary, which ultimately took me down a path I did not expect; I met a lot of great people in the surrounding New Wilmington and New Castle community who loved history as much as I did. I wish I would have been more...

Nicky's Broadcasting Blog: What a Relief!

http://nickybroadcasting.blogspot.com/2008/11/what-relief.html

Thursday, November 20, 2008. The main part of my capstone is done! In the end, I realized there was also a couple more parts I needed to add to the film as well. I don't think I've spent so much time editing before, but it gave me a lot more experience editing with Final Cut Pro. I learned so much. Also, I decided to create a cool DVD menu to go along with my film, so I figured out how to work DVD Studio Pro, too! I realized they were a lot of similarities. Helped me realize that I like having the time t...

Sunday, May 11, 2008. This semester has challenged me a lot: physically, mentally, emotionally.and I've learned so much about myself. That was the major goal in our Senior Capstone class. Not only did we work hard, we discovered more about who we are and what we want to do with our lives in the future. As a class, we explored the broadcast business, capstone projects, and even the Amazing Race TV show application. I had a great time putting together the video, and I think that maybe we have a shot. As th...

I was so worried about what I was going to do this summer when a number of opportunities came my way all at the same time. I was relieved to know that I had choices, but. It was hard to make a decision.especially since this is the last summer before I graduate. Just learning from other broadcast majors at Westminster College. 5, Ellen McGregor.

Andy Britton | Child of the Enlightenment.

Child of the Enlightenment. John Piper, Necessity, and the Problem of Dependence. Here’s the premises I’m working with, and the purpose of this blog is to prompt a discussion on whether or not Piper must. Accept the conclusion of this argument. 1 God unchangeably ordains all that comes to pass. His stance on this point is important methodologically because it shows that Piper is willing to be consistent, and I believe that’s a great thing. In case you’re skeptical, here’s Piper speaking on the subject.
